CDC: Our Public Health Story: Response to the Opioid Crisis through State and Local Collaboration

CDC is mobilizing a public health response to the opioid overdose epidemic in collaboration with state and local health departments. Our prevention and response activities evolved as the primary driver of the opioid crisis shifted from prescription to illicit opioids. Dr. Grant Baldwin, Director of the Division for Overdose Prevention, will highlight CDC’s role in addressing the epidemic and focus his remarks on multisector collaborations through the Overdose Data to Action (OD2A) program and other signature community-level investments.
