Tribal Elders say “it takes a village to raise a child.” At Cherokee Nation Prevention Programs, our mantra is “it takes a rock-solid infrastructure to raise a village!” You are invited to join internationally certified prevention specialists from Cherokee Nation of Oklahoma on a journey of discovery as they examine the paramount role the Strategic Prevention Framework plays in strengthening sector collaboration, grant competitiveness and building coalition bench-strength to achieve desired tribal community outcomes.

Learning Objectives

At the end of this session, participants will be able to:

1. Implement methods utilized by Cherokee Nation to achieve their own rock solid prevention infrastructure.

2. Translate key elements of the Strategic Prevention Framework into action steps to build coalition bench-strength to achieve desired community outcomes.

3. Apply media strategies to shift community attitudes, perceptions and behaviors surrounding prescription drug misuse.
