Youth connected to military and Veteran families exhibit significant strengths even in the face of unique challenges related to military life and culture.  However, there are thousands of these children and families who struggle with deployment related parental separation, reintegration, relationship disruption, parents, siblings, friends returning with combat injuries, illnesses, or diseases to name a few. Providing additional resources that are culturally appropriate to support these children is critical to mitigating the mental and behavioral health crises associated with substance misuse.
