Are you a young person involved in a community coalition or looking to get involved in your community? Do you want to meet other youth who are passionate about keeping their communities safe and drug free? If so, you’ve come to the right place.
CADCA supports coalitions that support youth all over the country. Youth Voices is for young people working to make a difference in their community. CADCA is working on creating this page with our youth participants. Our goal is to make this page for youth, designed by youth. Coalition youth across the nation can stay connected through: Facebook, YouTube, Flickr, Twitter, and CADCA's Photostream.
Searching for youth resources to help your community coalition?
Youth can learn how to make an even bigger impact in their community by attending the National Youth Leadership Initiative.
Don’t forget, Youth Voices is for youth, designed by youth. Your voice matters! Contact us at institute@cadca.org with your suggestions for, ideas or requests for Youth Voices. We want to hear from you!
CADCA/A&E Youth Delegate Program
In 2008, A&E Television, home of the Emmy Award-winning show Intervention, created the Recovery Delegate program to bring national attention to addiction and recovery. Through a national application/selection process, A&E recruited representatives from each of the 50 States and the District of Columbia who personified successful recovery. Now, A&E has partnered with CADCA to create the CADCA Youth Delegate program. Through this program, CADCA and A&E will select a young person who is actively involved in their local coalition and has participated in CADCA's National Youth Leadership Initiative (NYLI). The selected youth delegate will be honored, along with the 51 state delegates, for his/her service to the recovery community. The Youth Delegate does not have to be in recovery from addiction to drugs or alcohol. To apply, you must complete an application form and fax it to 703-706-0565. The deadline is June 15th. For questions, please e-mail Natalia Martinez Duncan at nmartinez@cadca.org.
