CADCA’s members-only series, 12 Sectors | 12 Months | 12 Minutes, focuses on strategies for recruiting and engaging members of the 12 community sectors. Each month, watch a 12-minute video from a seasoned sector leader, ask questions during a live chat and get answers on the members-only CADCA Community! This series will run through January 2022.

Local/State Government Sector

Local government sector leader and CADCA Board Member, Greg Puckett, will be interviewed in a 12-minute video discussing how to recruit and retain local/state sector leaders in coalition work.

Greg Puckett is on the “front line” of local government as County Commissioner of Mercy County, WV. Among other responsibilities in this position, Greg appoints members to various local boards, authorities and public service districts; supports community services; and lobbies for more state funding of local programs.

Parent Sector
Parent sector leader LaTasha Murray will be interviewed in a 12-minute video discussing how to recruit and retain parent sector leaders in coalition work.

Mrs. Murray has worked as the Substance Abuse Prevention and Marketing Director for Robeson Health Care Corporation in Lumberton, NC, for the past 15 years. She has spent over 20 years working to address health issues that have negatively impacted her local community. Through her professional position and personal devotion, she serves on several community coalitions and collaboratives. LaTasha has a strong passion for working with youth and has done so in several capacities, including RHCC Youth LEAD, Zeta Phi Beta Sorority youth affiliate groups and her faith organization. She has attended the DEA 360 program in Tampa, Florida, where her daughter, a CADCA youth trainer, was a guest facilitator.

Youth Sector
Tune-in to watch a 12-minute video from a seasoned youth sector leader, Vinayak Menon. Vinayak is the Youth Sector Leader for the Forsyth County Drug Awareness Council and a rising junior at Lambert High School in Georgia. He has been actively involved with the coalition for the past two years and represented his district at multiple CADCA national trainings. He is also a community contributor for the Atlanta-Journal Constitution and has advocated for substance prevention on behalf of youth. Outside of prevention work, Vinayak is an officer in his school’s speech and debate team and Future Business Leaders of America Club. After the video, you can ask questions during a live chat and get answers on the members-only CADCA Community. Registration is not required as everything is posted in the Community.
