Coalition resources: Social Media

Now that social media and social media marketing are becoming a mainstay of coalition communications how do we know what's working, not working and where to adjust? The CADCA National Coalition Institute's webinar series on social media will continue August 25 at 3 p.m. EDT focusing on metrics and measures for tracking your coalition’s social media success. The session is the fifth in a six-part series on how coalitions can incorporate social media into their communications/marketing plan.

Inches to Miles: Metrics and Measures for Social Media will take you on a journey of the concepts, models and tools used to measure and track social media and offer a social media and community framework as a guide. The session will provide a basic understanding of the difference between traditional social and traditional media measures. Participants will also learn how to identify and develop low-cost, online tools and plans for monitoring and tracking their social media efforts.

Expert presenters for the series include: LaDonna Coy, MHR, CPS, CDLA, New Media & Prevention Specialist, Learning for Change; Jason Verhoosky, Community Liaison/Youth Program Coordinator, DanversCARES; and Thomas A Workman, Ph.D., Assistant Professor, University of Houston-Downtown, Production Section Lead, John M. Eisenberg Center for Decisions and Communications Science at Baylor College of Medicine. Sue Stine, Senior Manager, Dissemination and Coalition Relations for CADCA’s National Coalition Institute, will moderate this session.

Before and after the session, coalitions can ask questions and join the conversation on social media by joining the Social Media Group on Connected Communities .

All coalition members and stakeholders are welcome to attend part five of this Webinar series on August 25 from 3-4:30 p.m. EDT, regardless of whether they participated in previous sessions in the series. Register for Inches to Miles: Metrics and Measures for Social Media .
