Drug type: Cough Medicine

According to results from the 2006 Monitoring the Future survey conducted by the University of Michigan, 7 percent, or one in every fourteen of our nation’s twelfth graders, reported past year consumption of cold or cough medicine to get high. Senator Biden hopes to make this a priority in the 110th Congress by raising public awareness on DXM abuse, working to ban illegitimate Internet sales of DXM powder, and exploring the need for further federal regulation of DXM.
