President Signs Continuing Resolution Into Law

The October 1 Fiscal Year deadline has passed without any appropriations bills being signed into law. In an effort to ensure that the government has enough funds to continue operating, Congress passed, and the President signed, a Continuing Resolution (CR), which will be in effect until March 6, 2008.

This means that all federally funded programs, with the exception of those related to military construction and the departments of Defense, Homeland Security and Veterans Affairs, will operate at the FY 2008 enacted levels. CADCA will continue to monitor the appropriations process and will alert the field when further action needs to be taken.
