CADCA was able to issue more than 400 refunds for registrants who were unable to attend the 2010 National Leadership Forum last February due to the historic blizzard. Our efforts were successful due to the detailed background information provided by registrants. Despite CADCA's publicized efforts to submit claims to our insurance company, some coalitions didn't make the deadline and were unable to submit a refund request. So, CADCA asked the insurance agency to reopen the claim and we were successful. The new deadline to submit your refund request is Aug. 31, 2010.
So, if you were unable to attend the Forum due to the weather, and you have not submitted a claim for refund, now is your last chance. Please submit a refund request form. Please fill out this form and attach pertinent documentation you may have (flights cancelled, etc). All requests must be submitted electronically. It is our experience that attendees with valid documentation and those who were unable to attend any part of the conference have been most successful in the review process.
A team at CADCA will review all requests and submit them to the insurance company on our members’ behalf. Act now—our deadline is August 31.
