The Department of Education’s Office of Safe and Drug-Free Schools is accepting applications for grants to prevent high-risk drinking or violent behavior among college students. The grants provide awards to develop or enhance, implement, and evaluate campus- and community-based strategies to prevent high-risk drinking or violent behavior among college students.
Eligible applicants include institutes of higher education, and a consortia of public and private nonprofit organizations, including faith-based organizations, and individuals.
The estimated average size of awards is $125,000 and approximately 18 grants will be awarded. The application deadline is Feb. 5, 2007.
