Coalition resources: Funding

Coalitions can apply for a new funding opportunity through the Department of Health and Human Services' Office of Women's Health. The Coalitions for a Healthier Community FY10 grants provide support to communities to plan and implement evidence-based health and wellness projects for women and girls. The project must address a health issue identified by the community as adversely affecting the health of its women and girls.

The Office on Women's Health has scheduled a workshop to help prospective applicants with the Coalition for a Healthier Community funding opportunity from 2-4 p.m. EST Aug. 5.

Participants will be able to learn more about the purposes and requirements the grant, how to apply for funds under this program announcement, the program eligibility requirements, the application selection process and considerations that might help to improve the quality of grant applications. The workshop will be conducted as a webinar and is offered at no cost.

All participants must pre-register for the workshop by using this registration form. Each participant must then return the form to the OWH by fax at 202-690-7172. Registrations must be received no later than July 30, 2010 by 5 p.m. EST. The conference session is limited to 150 participants registered on a first-come, first-served basis.

Grant applications are due Aug. 13.
