The Department of Education Office of Safe and Drug Free Schools is now accepting grant applications for its Alcohol and Other Drug Prevention Models on College Campuses program. The program aims to identify models of effective campus-based alcohol and other drug prevention programs and disseminate information about these programs to other colleges and universities where similar efforts may be adopted.
Eligible applicants include institutes of higher education (IHE) that have been implementing effective alcohol and other drug prevention programs on their campuses. An IHE that receives funding under this program must identify, enhance, further evaluate, and disseminate information about an effective alcohol or other drug prevention program being implemented on its campus.
Awards are estimated to range between $125,000–$175,000. About five awards will be offered.
Applications can be obtained by visiting: www.grants.gov or ww.ed.gov/programs/dvpcollege/applicant.html If you request an application from ED Pubs, be sure to identify this competition as follows: CFDA number 84.184N.
An application can also be requested by calling 1–877–433–7827 or via e-mail at: edpubs@inet.ed.gov.
