The Secretary of Education has proposed 13 priority areas that the Department of Education may use for any appropriate discretionary grant program in fiscal year 2011, as well as future years.
View CADCA’s comments on Priorities 2 and 10. These comments urge the Department of Education (1) to ensure that the development or implementation of instructional materials, professional development or preparation programs include an explicit focus on workplace pre-employment standards such as drug testing; and (2) that projects designed to collect, analyze and use high-quality and timely data also collect the core data set of incidence, prevalence, age of onset, perception of harm, and perception of social disapproval of drug use.
CADCA also encourages its members to comment on the Department of Education’s proposed thirteen priorities. View the announcement in the Federal Register.
All comments must be submitted by Sept. 7, 2010.
