Do you want to raise awareness of the dangers of prescription (Rx) drug abuse and over-the-counter (OTC) cough medicine abuse, and enter in a drawing for a free iPad? Then take part in the CADCA 50 Challenge.
Through the CADCA 50 Challenge, we are committing ourselves to getting Rx and OTC medicine abuse on the radar screen of families across the country. But we need your help to do it, so we’re asking you to host a town hall meeting, or another type of educational event about medicine abuse, in your community.
All you have to do is host an event sometime between now and November. If you really want to make a big splash, hold it during National Medicine Abuse Awareness Month in October so that we can unite and have an even greater impact.
So, are you up for the challenge? If so, here’s what you do:
1 – Visit www.stopmedicineabuse.org and click on the “CADCA 50 Challenge” icon.
2 – Complete the online form to enter your coalition in the challenge.
3 – Download online tools to help plan your event and utilize your new Rx Abuse Prevention Toolkit: From Awareness to Action.
4 – Download the video “Stopping Cough medicine Abuse in Your Community” for your event and order free educational brochures
5 – Once your details are finalized, return to www.stopmedicineabuse.org and enter the date, time and location of your event. (This final step is required to be entered into the iPad drawing.)
