In his FY 2010 budget request, President Obama recommended zeroing out the State Grants portion of the Safe and Drug Free Schools and Communities (SDFSC) program. With a sustained nationwide grassroots advocacy effort, we may be able to prevent Congress from implementing President Obama’s recommendation, and in the process, save our students from ever becoming involved in drug use or participating in violent activities.
