We’ve all heard the adage that “a picture is worth a thousand words.” If that’s true, your coalition can speak volumes through photo- and video-sharing websites. This webinar will focus on the basics of photo and video sharing, looking at sites including YouTube, Flickr and PhotoBucket. It will incorporate ways to utilize these social media tools to enhance how you tell your coalition’s story, illustrate areas of the community that need improvement and help create the vision of what your community can become.
The one and a half hour session will include specific examples of how community anti-drug coalitions are using photo- and video-sharing sites to inform and engage residents. We will discuss viral videos and how your coalition can create a buzz among members, stakeholders, partners and funders.
Prior to and following the session, our team of experts will be available to answer questions and through the SoMe (Social Media) group on Connected Communities (http://connectedcommunities.ning.com), a peer-to-peer social network for community coalitions.
