Do you want to learn new skills to help you tackle your community’s substance abuse problems, hear from experts in the field of drug abuse prevention, treatment and recovery, and network with nearly 3,000 of your peers from across the country? Then register now for CADCA’s 23rd Annual National Leadership Forum.
CADCA’s Forum is the nation’s largest meeting for community prevention leaders, treatment professionals and researchers. The Forum will be held in conjunction with SAMHSA/CSAP’s 9th Annual Prevention Day. The theme this year is "Coalitions: Science, Strategies, and Solutions” which emphasizes the importance of developing broad-based strategic alliances, implementing proven and promising strategies, and achieving population-level change.
CALL FOR PRESENTATIONS
Submission Deadline Date: October 19, 2012
CADCA is requesting workshop proposals addressing the latest findings, cutting-edge program successes, lessons learned or problems solved. Effective coalitions employ practices that are evidence-based and results-driven. At the forefront of this movement, CADCA and its coalitions are making positive systematic progress; learning from theory about what works, implementing those practices in a comprehensive manner, and achieving resolution to local substance abuse problems. CADCA coalitions represent people and passion. CADCA coalitions demonstrate an understanding of science, implement effective strategies, and are moving forward with real solutions.

** GROUP: Groups of 5 or more may receive additional discounts on the early-bird and regular rates only. In order to be eligible for these discounts, your group must meet ALL of these requirements: 1) all individuals must be associated with the SAME organization, 2) the organization must be a member of CADCA (if a non-member, purchase a one-year membership now to get the reduced group member rate), and 3) your group must contain a minimum of 5 PAYING individuals (speakers receiving a discounted rate and one-day registrations are not eligible).
NYLI REQUIREMENTS: To participate in National Youth Leadership Initiative (NYLI), both youth and their adult advisors must attend ALL NYLI sessions throughout Forum week. Adults must attend with at least one youth and pay the adult registration rate. No children may attend sessions unless they are a paid, registered attendee. Please check the applicable box on the registration form if you plan to attend NYLI. Youth may register to attend without participating in NYLI. All youth participating in NYLI must provide the Parent Consent Form and the Youth Consent Form (available later this month) to CADCA by January 21 via e-mail or fax 703-705-0573.
Registration Payment Policy
A completed registration with no form of payment or no purchase order does not guarantee the registration rate. CADCA will not process registration forms that do not include payment information. You are not considered registered for the conference until either payment or a purchase order has been received. Payment must be postmarked by the deadline dates above to get that rate. If your payment will not be postmarked by the current deadline, you must pay the higher rate.
Purchase Orders: Official Purchase Orders are accepted (not Purchase Requisitions) provided the following guidelines are met: purchase orders are a legal document guaranteeing payment but are not considered actual payment. If you submit a PO to CADCA, you are guaranteeing future payment for the full amount of the PO. Upon receipt of the PO, CADCA will email an invoice from which you should submit payment. POs must be received by CADCA via fax or email by the registration deadline to lock in the current rate. POs received after the above deadlines will be returned for adjustment to reflect the current rates. All payments sent via mail must be postmarked by the deadline dates above.
Payment Change: Once payment is received, any change to the payment method (such as change in credit card numbers) will be treated as a cancellation and subject to a $75 administrative fee (per person). Re-registration will be charged at the current rates.
Registration Cancellation & Substitution Policy
All requests for cancellations must be submitted in writing via E-MAIL or FAX 703-706-0573 by January 21, 2013. Cancellation requests that are received by January 21 will be processed less a $75 administrative fee. Refunds will be processed within 45 days after the meeting. There will be NO refunds after January 21 and refunds or credits will not be given for failure to attend, late arrival, unattended events or early departure. By submitting the registration form, you are agreeing to this cancellation policy.
CADCA does allow meeting registration substitutions but only for adults and the registration is still subject to the same cancellation policy. If the registration category is different (member vs. non-member), the new registrant is responsible for paying the difference (if any) at the time of substitution. If a refund is due, the payment will be processed upon conclusion of the meeting.
