When it comes to preventing teen substance abuse, community awareness of drug-related issues is essential. One of the best ways to get the word out is through media channels, such as TV, radio, newspapers and the Internet. However, these channels are constantly evolving and coalitions need to know how to take advantage of new media tools, such as MySpace, Twitter and Facebook, which allows coalitions to reach more people than ever before.
