A panel of coalition experts at the federal, state and local levels named the following three coalitions as CADCA’s 2011 Got Outcomes! Coalition of Excellence award winners: Drug Free Charlotte County in Port Charlotte, Fla.; the Coalition for a Safe and Drug-Free Fairfield in Fairfield, Ohio and the Logan County Drug Free Youth Coalition in Bellefontaine, Ohio.

Has your coalition developed and implemented a strong data-driven process to address substance abuse in your community? Can your coalition make the case for their contribution to community-level declines in substance abuse? If so, CADCA invites you to apply  for a Got Outcomes! Coalition of Excellence Award! Applicants have just over a week to start and complete their application. Coalitions that apply for an award get a lot of support throughout the process.

Coalition of Excellence Awards, sponsored by CADCA's National Coalition Institute, recognizes coalitions that achieve measurable success in community-level substance abuse-related outcomes through a comprehensive plan guided by local data that includes program, practice and policy changes. While winning coalitions receive national recognition that can help them build new partnerships and secure new funding, the unique two-phase process also offers multiple opportunities to connect with CADCA for feedback and technical assistance.

As a result, applicants fine-tune their ability to communicate outcomes to a variety of stakeholders and effectively translate their message into different formats (grants, presentations, etc).

Each year, CADCA invites coalition leaders across the country to nominate their coalition for a prestigious Got Outcomes! Coalition of Excellence Award. The goal of the program is to recognize coalitions that achieve measurable success in community-level substance abuse-related outcomes by implementing a comprehensive and feasible plan guided by local data.

Has your coalition used data-driven strategies to successfully fight substance abuse in your community? Has your coalition contributed to community-wide declines in substance abuse? If so, CADCA invites you to apply for a Got Outcomes! Coalition of Excellence Award! All applicants receive customized technical assistance and feedback on logic models and data presentation and get tips on effectively communicating their coalition story and outcomes to funders and other stakeholders. The deadline to submit applications is Wednesday, June 30th, 2010.
