Gwendolyn Brown is Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer for Genesis Prevention Coalition, Inc. located in the Auburn Avenue Historical District of Atlanta, Ga. Genesis, a 501(C)(3) faith and community-based organization, was established in 1994 and has since received numerous national and local recognitions. A few of the Agency accomplishments include national recognition as Successful Government Partner by the White House Office of Faith-based and Community Initiatives and the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services; and Outstanding Coalition of the Year awarded by CADCA for its innovative, state-of the-art, research-based approach to alcohol, tobacco, other drug prevention.

Brown is a recognized community leader, prevention specialist, trainer/facilitator, and consultant. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree and a Masters of Public Administration. She has served on numerous boards and in leadership positions with professional associations and community organizations. She is a member of the Prevention Credentialing Consortium of Georgia (PCCG) Board of Directors. She is also a Certified Prevention Specialist Level IV, the highest level of certification sanctioned in Georgia.
