"Coalitions are an integral component to successful community capacity building! Collaboration results in easier, faster and more coherent access to services and benefits. Working together is not a substitute for adequate funding, although the synergistic efforts of the collaborating partners often result in creative ways to overcome obstacles. Our statewide coalitions, working together, have made a dramatic impact with positive outcomes. Coalitions are especially vital now, given the recent climate of reduction in available funding for non-profit organizations!" — Alice Murphy
