The heart of substance abuse prevention is in community action. The adage think globally, act locally is the key to successful outcomes. CADCA is the critical link between local and global action. Local coalitions identifying and addressing community concerns feed both their successes and their frustrations up to CADCA. CADCA serves in the role of connecting coalitions to each other and their shared body of experience and knowledge, and equally importantly, providing a national voice for community members to express their thoughts on issues of national concern.
