From Our Chairman & CEO
Dear Coalition Leader:
“Community Coalitions: Local Actions = A World
of Results” is the theme for CADCA’s National Leadership
Forum XIV, scheduled for January 20-23, 2004, in Washington D.C.
This year’s Forum promises to be another high energy, informative
event that you won’t want to miss!
We have relocated our National Leadership Forum to
the newly renovated Renaissance Hotel, in the hub of Washington
D.C.’s fast-growing Convention Center area, to take advantage
of nearby attractions, restaurants, and the city’s easy-to-use
Metro system.

| We are repeating our
successful pre-conference training sessions to provide a more extensive
learning experience with some of our most requested topics. We have
also lengthened workshops to allow you more time to learn from carefully
chosen leaders in the field. For your convenience, we are starting
our morning sessions at 9:00am so you can catch a quick meeting
or hearty breakfast before our powerful plenary sessions.
I am also excited to report that SAMHSA’s Seventh
Annual Faith and Community-Based Organization’s Summit will
be held in conjunction with our Forum on January 20th. In addition,
CADCA’s Faith-Based Track will consist of a full day devoted
to faith-based initiatives.
The National Leadership Forum would not be complete
without our ever-popular Capitol Hill Day, including a special Congressional
reception that last year drew the Speaker of the House and the Secretary
of Homeland Security.
And finally, we are repeating our popular Dine and
Tour so that you may enjoy some of D.C.’s finest cuisine with
old friends and new acquaintances.
I look forward to seeing you in January.
